QTS for Training Programme

Modified on: Mon, 15 May 2023 5:50 PM

QTS stands for Qualified Teacher Status  . It is a status given to trainees after they complete year 1 on their training programme. The QTS field can be seen under Trainee's Programme Enrolment. The QTS applies to cohort 2021 and all cohorts later than 2021.

For 2021 Cohort

  1. All the Trainees which on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Pass or Fail , then their account will be automatically be deactivated on Steplab
  2. All the Trainees on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Deferred Assessment  or Awaiting Outcome , then their account will be retained on Steplab.
  3. All Tutors on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Pass or Fail , then their account will be automatically be deactivated on Steplab
  4. All the Tutors on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Deferred Assessment  or Awaiting Outcome , then their account will be retained on Steplab
  5. All Mentors on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Pass or Fail , then their account will be automatically be deactivated on Steplab only if they are mentoring trainees in 2021 cohort , if they are also mentoring any trainee from 2022 cohort then their account will remain.
  6. All the Mentors on Training Programme 2021 , have QTS status = Deferred Assessment  or Awaiting Outcome , then their account will be retained on Steplab.

Please Note

  • accounts getting deactivated on Steplab wont mean they have withdrawn from the programme or are inactive users , it means that as per their QTS result they will continue in their Year 2 but will not be using Steplab in year 2 of their programme.

For 2022 Cohort and Onwards (i.e. 2023 , 2024)

The QTS status will no longer effect the access to steplab. The QTS field on Salesforce will indicate the result but the access for trainees , associated Tutors and mentors will remain and not be removed.
