Zoho Assist - Manual installation of ZA_Access_My_Department (.exe) file
Please follow the steps below to manually install the 'ZA_Access_My_Department (.exe)' on to laptops where the devices do not appear in Zoho Assist.
These will temporarily be for those laptops configured at GreenSafe where the device has not been fully configured due to time left during the auto-pilot/Intune process.
**Please Note** This will only be a temporary issue.
- Ask the end user to 'Share their screen' in your Teams Call
- Retrieve the 'LAPS' Admin Username and PW for that Laptop ready for authorising
installation (LAPS PW Retrieval)
- Download the 'ZA_Access_My_Department (.exe)' file from Here (Teams IT Ops General > Files > Documents > General > Working Documents > Zoho) Attach and send to
- Send file via Teams to user for you to download - download and then go to – ‘Downloads Folder’ on the user’s machine to run the .exe file on the user’s machine
- Run the installer and close installer wizard once complete. The Zoho Assist will then show in the Utility Tray
- You will then see this device registered and appear in Zoho Assist for you to connect to this device
Alternatively, you can log into ‘Zoho Assist’ using your credentials from a browser on the user’s machine
- Go to ‘Deployment’ > Add Device
- Scroll down to ‘Download Installer’ and select ‘Windows’ and 64-Bit Vs
- Navigate to ‘Downloads’ and run as administrator
- At this point you will need to give the end user the LAPS PW to enter along with the admin – User Name > .\admin (The LAPS PWs update each day)
- Run the installer and close installer wizard once complete. The Zoho Assist will then show in the Utility Tray
- You will then see this device registered and appear in Zoho Assist for you to connect to this device
