Zoom Sound Troubleshooting
Zoom Sound fix
(Please note Zoom client desktop app is updated periodically on all Teach First laptops)
This guide will show how to resolve the sound issue experienced on Zoom during a live meeting. We will tweak some audio settings within Zoom as will be explained below.
Please ensure you have Zoom app installed . By default it should be rolled out across all laptops so please check that you have it installed. if not please raise a ticket with the service desk to have it installed manually.
- Open Zoom app and sign in.
- Once you have been signed in to Zoom and the app has been updated please click on the cog icon at the top right corner of the app to access app settings.
Select “ Audio”
Once you are in zoom settings > audio settings (as shown above) make sure mic is turned all the way up > untick the 'automatically adjust microphone volume'
Click on ‘advanced’ at the bottom of the audio settings and make sure that ‘Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers is set to ‘Off (Windows – Raw)’
That’s all. This should resolve the sound volume going up and down.
