What content do I post on the Community Site and where?
Description: The Teach First Community Website is a great platform to share your ideas, experiences and opportunities. This short e-guide will help you understand what kind of content is housed under each of the tabs on the homepage.
News
The News tab is for posting blogs and articles. For example:
A blog from a participant about their experience in the classroom
An article with an update about a project Teach First is working on
A write-up of an event that had taken place and was attended by members of the Teach First Community
Blogs can be uploaded by anyone, but articles can only be uploaded by Teach First employees.
Events
The Events tab houses events which are being hosted by Teach First, and can only be uploaded by employees. Events include:
Leadership Development Programme related conferences and training sessions
Ambassador socials
Teach First Network events
Library
The library tab is an opportunity for users to find and share resources. These resources vary greatly and can be uploaded by any user. Resources include:
Leadership Development Programme learning materials
Publications such as the Teach First Ambassador Magazine
Career and CV related resources
Marketplace
The Marketplace is a place for Teach First and other members of the community to share opportunities and invitations to get involved. These include:
Services – paid and free services open to the wider community. E.g pupil premium opportunities
Get involved – volunteering opportunities and events hosted by other members of the community. E.g careers insights day at a corporate partner.
Job – Vacancies at Teach First, Partner Organisations and from the wider community.
Incentives and benefits – Competitions, discounts and freebies. E.g discounted theatre tickets for schools
Training and development – Continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities from Teach First and external organisations.
Ideas Exchange
The Ideas Exchange acts as a forum for all members of the Teach First community to engage in active debate and discussion. Past topics have included:

Feedback for the BBC documentary Tough Young Teachers
